BITTS Park's interactive water feature is currently closed due to a "number of technical issues". 

Whilst there was frustration due to the closure of the splash park in the play area as the hottest weekend of the year hit Carlisle, Cumberland Council has stated they are looking to get it back in operation as soon as possible. 

A spokesperson from Cumberland Council said: “Unfortunately due to a number of technical issues we were unable to open the splash park in Bitts Park last weekend.

“With the change in weather, we’ve been working on getting it operational.

"We are doing all we can to get the site open as quickly as possible," they added.
