A woman was arrested in Penrith today (May 14) after testing positive for cannabis during a roadside check.

The public-reported information led police to catch her on Beacon Edge.

A spokesperson from Eden Police said: "Thanks to information previously provided to the Police, a female driver was stopped by officers today after driving on Beacon Edge, Penrith.

"We rely on information from the public to keep Eden safe.

"You can report information to Cumbria Police on 101 or via the online reporting facility on our website."
