Mountain rescuers helped three people in trouble in the Lakes during the evening of May 14.
Seven members of the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team (PMRT) were deployed to the people stuck on Striding Edge, sheltering.
“The team short-roped them off the bad step, guiding them along the edge until they reached some safer ground and proceeded to walk them back to Glenridding,” a PMRT spokesperson said, adding that the incident took five hours.
