FINAL nominations are being sought for the prestigious Newsquest Golden Apple awards 2024, as the entry deadline fast approaches.
The Golden Apple Awards 2024, will celebrate all the best of education throughout the county, with the organisation behind the event appealing for nominations before entries close next week, May 28.
The awards recognise individuals and organisations across Cumbria for their stellar achievements, acknowledging the power education has to transform lives, communities and the wider economy.
The awards’ headline sponsor is once again the University of Cumbria and category sponsors are Cumbria Education Trust, Energy Coast UTC, Lakes College West Cumbria, Furness College, BAE and NRL.
Newsquest Cumbria Sales Director, Emily Wood, said: "The Golden Apples are always a fantastic chance to recognise all the best students, teachers and leaders in our thriving education sector and every year we are blown away with the quality of nominations."
There is still time to submit nominations for this year's awards with the deadline fast approaching.

The awards will be held on Thursday, October 10 at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal.
