Former Carlisle United prospect Kai Nugent has rejoined Workington Reds on a permanent deal.
The teenager, who was released by the Blues at the end of last season, has returned to Borough Park where he had a loan spell in 2022/23.
Midfielder Nugent, 19, becomes new manager Mark Fell's first signing at Reds ahead of the 2024/25 Northern Premier League Premier Division campaign.
The Blues academy product spent last season on loan with Annan Athletic, having had a previous spell with Workington when he helped Danny Grainger's team win promotion.
After a year as a professional with United, the Cumbrian teenager will now aim to kickstart his career as part of Fell's new-look side.

Nugent told Workington's website: "I'm excited about the project the gaffer has in place for the club over the season.
"I also joined on a personal note because of the success I had when I came on loan two seasons ago.
"I'm excited to kick on and get back out there in front of the fans and show what I can do."
Nugent made 27 appearances for Annan under Peter Murphy last season, scoring three goals for the Scottish League One club as they achieved third-tier survival.
He had previously been named United's academy player of the season for 2022/23, which was capped with his promotion experience with Workington and a move into Carlisle's pro ranks.
New manager Fell is expected to make several more signings in the coming weeks as he reshapes the Reds squad after succeeding Grainger at the helm.
