A LORRY driver in his 40s has died after his vehicle left the road and collided with a building on the A7.
Cumbria Police are investigating the fatal collision which occurred yesterday, May 22, when an HGV left the road and collided with a building.
The driver of the HGV, a man aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred at around 4.10pm on Wednesday afternoon, on the A7 at Scotsdyke, almost on the border with Scotland.
At this time, it is believed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident, police said.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or the moments immediately before or after.
