A LOCAL music charity will run its own stage at this year's Kendal Calling.
Soundwave, who are based Derwentwater Pavillion at Westlakes Science And Technology Park, were announced in partnership with the festival.
They will run a stage at the festival which aims to showcase new and emerging talent - and upcoming artists are encouraged to apply.
Kendal Calling wrote on social media: "Want to play Kendal '24?
"Thanks to, we're teaming up with Generator, BBC Introducing and Sound Wave Cumbria to launch a brand new emerging talent stage - all we need now is the bands!"
Soundwave shared the news themselves, and said: "THE NEWS IS OUT!
"We are delighted to announce we will be running a stage at Kendal Calling this year alongside these amazing organisations.
"Get applying!"
