A VEHICLE 'left the road' on one Lake District path, with police urging the public to 'take their time' when travelling on country roads in the area.
Allerdale Police attended a section of Newlands Pass in the Lake District yesterday evening, May 30 after reports that a vehicle had partially left the road.
Motorists who were travelling on the section of road at the time were thanked for taking the detour put in place whilst police officers dealt with the incident.
In a social media post, a spokesman for Allerdale Police said: "Last night, officers and PCSOs attended an incident on Newlands Pass where a vehicle had partially left the road.
"Thanks to all the motorists who took the detour who were heading to the Buttermere Bash!
"Remember to take your time and not Porsche your way through..."
