A POPULAR British 90s band have been announced as Saturday headliners for a Cumbrian music festival.
Space, a Liverpool based band who enjoyed much success in the 1990s have been announced as Saturday headliners for the Bar Stage at Solfest.
In a statement on social media, Solfest said: "Space have sold over 5 million records worldwide with albums including Spiders, Tin Planet, Suburban Rock and Roll, Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab and Give Me Your Future along with ten top 40 singles and a host of other single releases to-date with titles including "Neighborhood" "Female of the Species", and "Me and You Vs. The World".
Albums Spiders and Tin Planet have both been awarded double platinum disc status form the BPI
"The band continue to write gritty edgy pop songs that captivate the imagination of the listener."
Solfest will take place from August 22 to August 25 near Silloth, with the festival marking its 20th year.
