A MAN has been arrested and is currently in custody as police investigate a report of a burglary at a Carlisle property.
Police received the report of a burglary at a property on Holmrook Road at 1.45pm this afternoon (Wednesday, June 5).
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: "Three males left the area in a VW Golf via Orton Road having driven at officers - the vehicle has then rammed a police vehicle on Warwick Road.
"The males exited the vehicle and made off down Warwick Road towards Melbourne Park."
Offices are now appealing for witnesses to the incident and 'anyone who has seen two males in the area of Warwick Road and Melbourne Park'. The pair are described as both around 5ft 10ins, wearing all black, balaclavas and gloves.
No one was injured during the incident, police added.
