A POPULAR Lake District beer festival is taking place this weekend, returning to the town for the 26th year.
The Keswick Beer Festival is an annual event which sees thousands descend on the town's rugby club for a two-day event full of laughter, music and - most importantly - beer.
The 26th Keswick Beer Festival began yesterday, June 7 and continues today, June 8 with the event raising funds for good causes in the area.
The festival is a yearly event run as a collaboration between Keswick Rugby Club and Keswick Lions and over 250 volunteers who give up their time over the weekend to help ensure all guests have an amazing time and the event runs smoothly.
The organisers are 'proud of their heritage', with the very first Keswick Beer Festival held in June 1997 on Keswick Rugby Club pitches which have been its 'happy home ever since'.
