BRUNO
Meet beautiful Bruno, a 6 and half year old Lurcher. He is quite a small boy weighing 18.5 kg. He is a super friendly boy who loves his walks and cuddle time.
Bruno is a very bright boy who enjoys learning new skills with us. We have been doing lots of games and activities with him, and he obviously loves the interaction with his handlers.
Bruno came into our care as he was being left for long periods during the day which he was not keen on. He will initially need a home where there is someone around during the day (or maybe someone with a relative able to help with day care). Alternatively, he may be a candidate for going along to work with someone. He should be able to build up slowly to being left but this may take sone time to build his confidence being left. We will be able to offer suggestions to achieve this.
Bruno has lived with children and we would consider a home with children 10+. He may possibly be able to live with a friendly dog, depending on how meet ups here at Oak Tree go. He has not mixed with many dogs and gets quite excited when he sees them.
If you want to find out more information about Bruno please call 01228 560082 and speak to a member of our Small Animals Team or email: smallanimalteam@oaktreeanimals.org.uk between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
CALYPSO
Calypso (Cali) was born at Oak Tree in June 2023. She has shown to have a mellow nature, getting on well within a mixed herd. Cali learned to bond through her love of scratches! She adores being groomed and fussed with!
Cali head collars and leads well when with others. She accepts bathing and feet picking, she can become unbalanced with the farrier and would benefit from training and support to help her confidence grow. Cali is ok with the vet; at times she can become nervous. She would benefit from a home that can offer lots of interaction, desensitisation and handling!
Cali is happy to live with mares and geldings. She currently lives out 24/7 with access to a field shelter.
If you want to find out more information about Cali please call 01228 560082 and speak to a member of our Equine Team or email: equine@oaktreeanimals.org.uk between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
