A band that wants to "put British heavy metal back on the map" is set to perform at The Brickyard later this month.

Tailgunner will be taking to the stage at the popular Carlisle venue on 20 June as part of their latest tour.

They saw quick success following their formation in 2022 with sold out shows, two UK headline tours, and signing with a record label all within their first six months. Tailgunner also got the thumbs up from KK Downing of Judas Priest - who they also opened for.

Last year, their debut album Guns for Hire was named as the best album of 2023 by Fistful of Metal magazine.

It also charted in the UK which is a rare feat for a debut heavy metal album.

Tailgunner will be supported by Scottish bands Wild Fire and Eld Varg.

Tickets for Tailgunner can be purchased on The Brickyard's website £10.

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
