A Cumbrian antiques and fine art sale will feature 17th-century silver and much more.
Hundreds of valuable items, including Moorcroft pottery, watercolour paintings and a rare 1814 Indian Chief's Medal, will be up for grabs at the Mitchells Antiques & Fine Art Sale, spanning from June 19 to 21.
Among the treasures to be auctioned are 50 lots of Moorcroft pottery, and a collection of 25 watercolours by Len Roope (1917-2005). Adding to the assortment are more than 350 lots of premium antique furnishings, plus an expansive selection of more than 200 lots of gold, silver and diamond jewellery.
The plethora of items is expected to suit all budgets, with estimates ranging from a modest £30 to a staggering £20,000.
Among the silverware highlights are a pair of William and Mary candlesticks from the late 17th century by renowned Huguenot silversmith Daniel Garnier.
The duo measures a height of 13.5cm and weigh in at 602grams, with an estimated value of £2,000 to £3,000.
A host of other silverware pieces are also to be auctioned, including coffee pots, teapots, tea services and salvers.
A sought-after selection of ceramics is also waiting for budding bidders, including a single-owner collection of Moorcroft pottery.
The pieces are valued from £70 to £400.
Additionally, a pair of 19th-century Vienna porcelain shepherdess figurines are expected to fetch anything from £100 to £150.
There is also a rare North American Indian Chief's Medal from 1814.
Among the fine art being offered is an oil painting portraying children playing on the beach by Dorothea Sharp (1874-1955). This charming piece, rendered on board, is predicted to sell for £8,000 to £12,000.
Other standout pieces include a pencil landscape sketch by Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947) expected to go for £1,000 - £1,500, and a pair of 19th-century gouache naval portraits anticipated to bring in £400 to £600.
Day one of the event will feature Asian art, jewellery, pocket watches, and silver, while day two will be dedicated to paintings, drawings, prints, and collector's items.
The sale concludes on the third day (June 21st) with an assortment of dining tables and chairs, longcase clocks, mirrors, and textiles up for grabs.
Those keen on viewing the lots prior to the auction can visit the Saleroom from June 16, 11am to 3pm, and June 17 and 18, between 10am and 5pm.
The venue will be open throughout the sales day and bidders can register online to bid live during the sale or place automatic bids.
