Carlisle locals have been reminiscing about an Arctic Monkeys gig which attracted hundreds of visitors to The Brickyard 19 years ago this week.
On June 10 2005, the iconic Carlisle venue hosted the 'four lads from Sheffield' in a sold-out gig.
Just a few months later, their debut single I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor stormed to number one in the charts.
The group remain hugely popular to this day, with seven Brit awards to their name, and over 12 million studio albums sold.
However, had it not been for Jo Wiley's shoutout on Radio 1, the gig might not have even sold-out.
The Brickyard wrote: "It's 19 years to the day that these four lads from Sheffield played The Brickyard.
"The diary is open should you want to make a return Arctic Monkeys."
In the comments, Carlisle locals suggested that it was a great night and that they paid just £5 to see the now-legendary band.
