Emergency services are on the scene after a pedestrian was hit by a bus this afternoon (June 12).
A spokesperson from Cumbria police said a report of a collision between a bus and pedestrian on Lowther Street, Carlisle, came in at 12.42pm.
The police and NWAS remain on the scene.
A spokesperson from NWAS said a male patient was taken to hospital with a head injury.
The injury was not described as 'serious'.
The bus involved was the Stagecoach 67 service, which serves Upperby to Belle Vue.
A Stagecoach spokesperson said: "We can confirm that one of our vehicles was involved in an incident along with a pedestrian at around 12:40pm this afternoon on Lowther Street in Carlisle.
"We understand the person involved was taken to hospital to be treated and our first thoughts are for their welfare.
"Safety is our absolute priority and we will carry out a thorough investigation into the cause of this incident."
