Take a leap back in time with a theatrical performance of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
Presented by Chapterhouse, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the world of Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters, as they navigate the intricacies of regency society within the scenic castle grounds of Greystoke Castle, Penrith.
Chapterhouse's rendition of Austen's work stays faithfully true to its source material, and is complete with 'stunning' period costume and an original romantic score.
Mrs Bennet, the 'unfortunate' mother of several unmarried daughters of marriageable age, is delighted at the arrival of a new gentleman lodger at the local manor house, Mr Bingley.
When eldest Bennet sister Jane catches Mr Bingley's eye, all seems set, but sparks fly between her younger sister Elizabeth and Mr Bingley's enigmatic friend, Mr Darcy.
Chapterhouse Theatre Company produces critically acclaimed UK and international tours, specialising in Shakespeare, classic literature adaptations, and family shows.
The performance is set to take place on Saturday, July 6 at 7pm.
