TWO men have been arrested in Whitehaven on suspicion of drug charges.
The incident occurred today, June 18. The men were seen acting suspiciously and were detained by police officers.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "PC 2241 and PC 3157 spotted two males acting suspiciously in the town centre this morning; feeling optimistic, the males tried to run away from Officers upon sight.
"Unfortunately, their trusty Nikes weren't fast enough and they were soon detained for Section 23 misuse of drugs searches.
"This stop resulted in the arrest of one male for possession and possession with intent to supply."
