LONGTOWN Fire Station has been conducting a training session.
This involved water training at the River Esk. The session took place on Tuesday, June 18.
The station has also put a call out for recruits looking to join the team.
In a post on social media, Longtown Fire Station wrote: "Quarterly water training for some of the Longtown crew down at the Esk tonight. We practiced essential rescue and self-rescue techniques and had a bit of fun as well.
"We are currently looking for recruits, if you’re over 18 and can preferably offer day and weekend cover, come and see us or drop us a message.
"You need to live or work within five minutes of the station and on-call firefighters are paid employees of Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service."
