Carlisle College has joined forces with VL Aesthetics to support its Foundation Degree students' practical skills in aesthetics.

The partnership will benefit second-year students on the Foundation Degree (FdA) in Aesthetic Principles and Clinical Practice.

This collaboration bridges the gap between academic learning and the aesthetic industry.

Vanessa Brown, the managing director of Carlisle-based VL Aesthetics, said: "We are proud to partner with our local college and will be providing these students with unparalleled hands-on opportunities.

"This collaboration will allow students to use the cutting-edge technology at VL Aesthetics, specifically in their Energy Based Devices module.

"Our expert guest speakers are excited to share their knowledge and skills, ensuring students receive the highest-quality education in the industry.

“We are delighted to contribute to the educational journey of these talented students, future industry leaders.”

The partnership will allow students to work with advanced aesthetic technologies, deepening their understanding of industry-leading treatments.

Ashley Graham, head of higher education and teacher training at Carlisle College, said: "Our goal is to offer our students the best possible education and practical experience.

"Partnering with VL Aesthetics allows our students to learn from top professionals and use state-of-the-art equipment, which is an invaluable addition to their educational journey.

“I believe that this partnership will flourish in the years to come, and we will see industry-ready graduates develop in this exciting and burgeoning sector.”
