WHITEHAVEN Alive is set to return later this year.
The popular festival will return to Whitehaven harbourside this summer between September 12 and 15.
Over 35,000 people attended last year's event which saw major musical acts performing in the town.
The main event of the festival is the music, with acts like Boney M, Jake Bugg, The Vaccines, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor delighting audiences at the 2023 event.
Members of the public can also expect continental market stalls and a range of other attractions.
In a post on social media, Whitehaven Alive wrote: "We have some exciting changes to share with you all for 2024.
"Whitehaven Alive is now a Community Interest Company meaning we are a non-profit organisation and all profits from the event go straight back into making the next year even bigger and better.
"Whitehaven Alive has always been about the community, our organisers are all volunteers working hard to bring the event to you and we wanted to cement this fact."
Another change being made this year is that an extra day will be added to the schedule.
The festival will now start on Thursday, September 12, meaning that there will be three nights of live music in the arena.
Then on Sunday, there will be a 'community focussed day' which the organisers say more details will be released about.
A limited amount of early bird tickets can be accessed on the website. These will give access to three nights of live music and are being sold at a discounted price.
Whitehaven Alive continued: "We are ecstatic to be partnering again with Mitie as our Music Partner and AmentumAmentum as our Hospitality Partner as well as our Friend of Whitehaven Alive sponsor Bounty Competitions Without our sponsors the event wouldn’t be possible.
"Sponsorship opportunities are still available with access to our exclusive hospitality lounge with VIP tickets as well as activation zones and advertising within the festival.
"If interested and for more information please email partnerships@whitehavenalive.com
"Fancy being a market trader in our Event Village? Whether you’re a charity, food stall, arts, or anything in-between we welcome all types of stalls looking to showcase themselves."
