POLICE are investigating an incident where a man sustained stab wounds in the Denton Holme area of Carlisle.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, which happened in the early hours of Monday, June 17. 

The man, aged in his thirties, did not suffer life-threatening injuries in the attack. He received wounds including to his arm and thigh.

The victim reportedly spoke to a man and woman involved in a dispute before the incident happened.

He was treated at the Cumberland Infirmary.
