A THIEF stole hundreds of pounds worth of alcohol and household goods from supermarkets in Carlisle.
Michelle Little, 41, committed the first offence on July 8 last year when she stole bottles of vodka and various meats to the value of £293.49 from Sainsbury’s in Carlisle.
Then on July 13, she stole bottles of alcohol and various household items to an unknown value from Tesco in Carlisle.
She committed a further shoplifting offence the following day when she stole alcohol and household items worth £562.98 from Sainsburys in Carlisle.
Little, of Fountains Avenue, Workington, pleaded guilty to three charges of theft from a shop, when she appeared before Workington Magistrates’ Court.
The defendant was given a 12-month community order with 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
She was fined £40 and ordered to pay a total of £221.75 in compensation. No order was made for costs due to the compensation imposed.
