Winter's Hair has been nominated by News & Star readers as one of the ten finalists in its 'Best Hairdresser/Barber 2024' award.
The salon, which is located on Carlisle's Lowther Street, is owned by brother and sister Marc and Lisa Winter who opened their business over 20 years ago.
After being informed that Winter's Hair has been nominated as a finalist in the News & Star's 'Best Hairdresser/Barber 2024' award, Marc was on hand to express his delight.

"We have got a lot of loyal clients who have been us for many years and we are so proud about keeping our good name and our good clients.
After being selected as a finalist for the award, Marc discussed what he believes the business' clients love so much about Winter's Hair.

"We all work well as a team and we always prioritise good teamwork and I think all of those things are what makes us really good.
Marc was also keen to highlight the tight-knit community that has been developed at Winter's Hair over the decades it has been open in Carlisle.
He said: "At the salon, we all stick up for each other and we all help each other out wherever we can.
"We always try our best to help our customers and if we can't we always try to recommend places that may be able to and we look after each other.
