Two Cumbrian actors are coming back home to bring their brand new show based on the life of Henry VIII.
James and Stephen Hyde are brothers and co-founders of The Three Inch Fools who are set to perform their show, ‘The Secret Diary of Henry VIII’.
Unexpectedly thrust into the limelight, young Henry navigates the ups and downs of courtly life, and all whilst fighting the French (again) and re-writing religion.
“Stephen and I went to a couple of schools in the area; Hunter Hall Primary School and Queen Elizabeth Grammar School,” said James Hyde.

“We grew up in the area and incidentally live not 10 minutes from Hutton-in-the-Forest.
“We’ve got really fond memories of going on school trips to see outdoor theatre at Hutton-in-the-Forest as very young lads, and it’s where our inspiration for theatre in the open-air first caught us.
“We still spend a lot of time in Cumbria as it’s where our family home is, and we are thrilled to be performing at Hutton-in-the-Forest and Netherby Hall, both local venues to us.”
The brothers will be at Hutton-in-the-Forest on July 14.
The Three Inch Fools will perform at Netherby Hall on July 16.
