‘Essential’ upcoming night flying exercises have been announced at RAF Spadeadam.
Flying will be taking place from June 24 until June 27 and July 1 and July 4 up until 1:30am on each day and has been described as ‘normal, routine’ training.
A spokesperson for RAD Spadeadam said: “For the attention of all our neighbours in Cumbria and Northumberland, the RAF Spadeadam range will be active for night flying between June 17 and July 4.

“Please note that aircraft may continue to transit through the range after this time.
“This activity is normal routine training, and this notification is made as the activity is outside the standard range training times.
“We thank you for your understanding and your continuing support whilst we deliver this essential operational training.”
