A popular Carlisle business has confirmed that it will move to a new location later this year.
Castle Chocolates, a luxury chocolate shop in the heart of the city centre, has been providing sweet treats to the people of Carlisle since owner Keith Tattersall opened its doors in 2019.
On June 20, the business confirmed that it had picked up keys for its new premises, which will be three doors down from their current location on Fisher Street.
It will take over from the First We Eat deli, which was forced to close its doors in March this year.
A two to three month renovation project is planned, with Castle Chocolates suggesting that their new shop could open in around September.
It will have a sales area around three times the size of the current store, which will allow for a much wider range of confectionary goodies.
Fortunately, the current shop will remain open until owners have officially moved into the new premises.
On Facebook, Castle Chocolates said: "Our bar selection will double in size, our premade boxes will have a wider range and we have plans for lots of different items that we don't have the room for in our current shop.
"The production area will be located upstairs in the new unit so will still be on display to customers and with a larger space comes more machinery and more chocolates .
"I'd like to thank all of our amazing customers. When we opened Castle Chocolates nearly five years ago we didn't know if anyone would walk through the door, since then we have been through COVID and a major cost of living crisis but still you keep supporting us."
