Firefighters will be running a car crash demonstration at a carnival later today.
Wigton Fire Station firefighters said the demonstration will happen at Barton Laws field between 2pm and 3pm for Wigton Carnival.
It will be a chance for people to meet the team and learn more about road safety, they said.
Wigton Carnival is 25 years old today, since its relaunch in 1999.
A costume parade leaves Howrigg Bank at 1pm and finishes at Barton Laws at around 2.45pm, with various entertainment and live music along the way.
Events and entertainment such as archery, sack race, egg and spoon race, and a three-legged race, all for children but parents and grandparents welcome to join too, will happen, and various community stalls will be there.
