THE construction of a new road aiming to improve access to the M6 will see new closures from tomorrow (June 24).

A595 & Dalston Road:

Dalston Road: There will be a full closure everyday with no access between Peter Lane and Brow Nelson for approximately 14 weeks to enable construction of the new Cummersdale roundabout and footbridge. There will be a fully signposted diversion route in place.

Durdar to the M6:

Ratten Row: There will be a full closure everyday with no access from Buckabank Road. This closure is to facilitate the earthworks and drainage operations in this area. This small section will be closed for several weeks. There will be a fully signposted diversion route in place.

Wreay Road: There will be a full closure everyday with no access from Newbiggin Road during this period to enable works associated with the new Brisco roundabout. There will be a fully signposted diversion route in place.

Ivegill Road: From Monday to Friday, there will be two-way traffic lights to enable the safe crossing of plant.

Redcat Crossroads: From Monday to Friday there will be two-way traffic lights to facilitate plant access and roadworks associated with the new roundabout.

Buckabank Road: There will be two-way traffic lights to enable the safe crossing of plant everyday.
