Police are continuing their appeal for information after a dog killed a swan last month.
Cumbria police said it happened at Hammonds Pond in Carlisle on May 24, and while investigations are ongoing, they urged a man who was identified to be wearing a grey top and black trousers, with a black dog, to make contact.
A Cumbria police spokesperson said last month: "Officers would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident.
"We would ask dog owners to use leads and restraints with their dogs when using our parks and green spaces in order to avoid further incidents and the potential for a criminal record."
Today (June 24) Cumbria police said they are continuing to appeal, released a CCTV image of the man they want to speak to, and said: “We would continue to encourage responsible dog ownership.
“If you are walking in our green spaces please ensure your dogs are under control at all times or you may be liable to prosecution.”
Anyone with information relating to the incident can report online via www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it quoting log number 203 of May 24, 2024.
