Workington Academy has bid goodbye to some of its longest serving students at their official leaving assembly.
Many of the teenage students will have finished their GCSE exams on June 21 and can now look forward to a well-deserved summer break, before potentially returning to school for sixth form education in September.
On Facebook, Workington Academy wrote: "It was a proud but bittersweet day yesterday at Workington Academy's Leavers' Assembly 2024!
"To the Class of 2024; a huge round of applause for all our amazing award winners. Your achievements are a testament to your talent, resilience, and the countless hours you poured into your studies and time at school. We're incredibly proud of everything you've accomplished during your time at Workington Academy. Remember, these awards are just the beginning of your incredible journeys!
"We’ll be forever proud to have been by your side for the past five years. The Year 11 team have had a wonderful time working with you."
