CARLISLE's Crystals and More is relocating as it seeks to expand its all-encompassing wellness services and community offerings.
The business, which has been on Cecil Street for over three years, will be moving to 3 Lonsdale Street with plans of opening for patrons on July 6.
Michelle Dunning, the owner and a qualified clinical hypnotherapist, is excited to be able to offer more to the city.
"It’s a combination of the crystal business has grown massively but also workshops are growing in popularity - it's great independent businesses are growing.
"I think since Covid, people have gone over to the holistic side a lot more.
"I’ve also expanded now as I’m a qualified tutor to deliver art workshops, I wanted a bigger space to be able to deliver those workshops, it’s a beautiful relaxation and lets people just switch off.
"Our space will create a sense of community," she said.
Michelle will continue to offer hypnotherapy sessions from the site under J&M Therapies.
The new location will spread across three floors, providing ample space not only for the shop's diverse range of crystals and holistic therapies but also for various workshops and community events.
"It gives me a space to carry on the hypnotherapy, but I will be renting the room out on a half-day basis to help businesses just starting to get a space.
"I’ve got a couple of people lined up so far but we’re still looking for more," she said.
The tradition of the friendly ambiance will continue to be a part of the shop's culture.
“In the current shop, we’ve always said, you come in a customer and you leave a friend – we’ll be bringing that over to our new relaxing space," Michelle said.
Alongside the new art workshops, the adaptable space will be available for rent to anyone wishing to host their own workshops.
Starting in August, Crystals and More will also host a hypnotherapy healing circle on the last Thursday of each month.
Additionally, Wednesday evenings will feature art and sculpture sessions with all materials provided.
The first 10 customers through the door on July 6 will also be treated to a goodie bag.
