A COUPLE in Carlisle were subjected to racial slurs and water being sprayed on them in what is now being treated as a hate incident.
Cumbria Police are investigating the assault which occurred on Wednesday June 12 at approximately 6:30pm on English street, Carlisle outside Primark.
During the incident, a couple were sprayed with water by two teenage girls and were subject to racial slurs.
The incident is also being investigated as a hate incident.
We are looking for anyone who witnessed the assault to contact police.
