MORTON Manor Community Centre has said that it is elated by the success of its 'fantastic' annual event.
The registered charity hosted its free annual Soul in the Park event on Saturday, June 22
The event, which was open to the local community was attended by 500 people within the grounds of Chances Park.
DJ Denis Peacock and soundman Andy Neem ensured the crowd were entertained with music whilst Cooks Creams Ice cream van was on site selling ice creams
Also in attendance at the event were Paul Jacksons, All for Fun Bouncy Castle and Aura Body Art for the children.
After the event, Morton Manor Community Centre centre manager Adele Carter expressed her delight in its success.
She said: "Morton Manor would like to thank everyone who attended, and thank all the office, bar and cafe staff, our caretakers and Trustee who worked through the event to ensure it was delivered safely, our small team of staff are the best.
"It was a fantastic day, enjoyed by many with a brilliant atmosphere, the event definitely brought the community together, the weather was glorious, and it really was a feel-good factor and a boost for the community."
