A SHOPLIFTER who stole mini rolls and McCoy’s crisps has been ordered to pay compensation to the supermarket he stole from.
David Scurr-Rayson, 49, stole two raspberry trifles, a packet of chocolate mini rolls, a four-pack of Boost chocolate, a cottage pie ready meal and a multipack of McCoy’s crisps to the value of £23 from Tesco in Workington on March 20.
Then on June 4, he stole various groceries including ice cream, biscuits and trifle, to the value of £22, from Tesco in Workington on June 4.
Scurr-Rayson, of Shore Side, Siddick, Workington, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft from a shop when he appeared before Workington Magistrates’ Court.
The defendant was ordered to pay £22 in compensation to Tesco.
