ONE OF Cumbria's favourite takeaways is set to reopen a month after an unanticipated closure.

The award-winning Just Greek, on Penrith's King Street, is set to reopen on July 2.

The business temporarily closed in May due to an emergency family visit to Greece.

The family-run Greek eatery, owned by Yannis Papameletis and his fiancée Maria, first emerged onto the scene in 2019.

In November, the takeaway was crowned the best in the country at the grand final of England’s Business Awards in Birmingham.

Yannis was pleased to announce that they "are back for good".

"We can't wait to see and welcome you all back as usual. We are sorry for the inconvenience and we hope for your understanding.

"We are officially reopening on July 2 and we will be waiting for you all with a warm welcome and our delicious food," he said.
