STAFF members at a Carlisle gym have completed a 600-mile exercise bike charity challenge.
Staff at St Nicholas Gate Retail Park's Gym Group Carlisle aimed to raise £450 for NHS Charities Together by cycling the equivalent of 603 miles between Land's End and John O'Groats on stationary exercise bikes.
The challenge, which involved two constantly moving exercise bikes, took place on Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, and after the event concluded, the staff members raised £195 of their target.
After the challenge was completed, The Gym Group Carlisle's general manager Darren Spedding was on hand to thank everyone who took part.
He said: "It was brilliant to bring The Gym Group Carlisle gym team and members together for our latest fundraising activity for NHS Charities Together.
"A fantastic joint effort to cycle the distance of Land’s End to John O’Groats on a static bike, and we raised almost £200.
"There’s still time to donate here and thanks to everyone who supported and cycled for this great charity."
