ST Bees School has started an education partnership with an education commission in China.
The school signed important documents with the team from Beijing.
It is hoped that the two will be able to create strong ties and develop a working relationship.
In a post on social media, St Bees School wrote: "This week, we were honoured to welcome distinguished guests from the Education Commission of Huairou District, Beijing 101 Middle School Huairou Branch, and Zhongke Zhaolong Technology Company, all the way from Beijing, China.
"During their visit, we signed important documents to begin a meaningful partnership that will support international education development."
It is hoped that the collaboration will open doors for opportunities to study abroad and facilitate teacher and resource exchanges.
St Bees School added: "We are excited about the possibilities this partnership brings and look forward to a fruitful collaboration."
