A SPECIAL service will be taking place at Carlisle Cathedral on the weekend.
On Saturday, July 29, the annual Ordinations of Deacons will take place in the Cathedral at 11am.
In a post on social media, Carlisle Cathedral wrote: "The ordinands will also be in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare for Saturday's special service.
"All are welcome to attend the service, or it will be live-streamed and simultaneously broadcast on the Diocese of Carlisle and Carlisle Cathedral Facebook pages."
The Cathedral has also shared a prayer on their social media page by the Diocese of Carlisle ahead of the service.
