TESCO in Whitehaven will close earlier on during the week to allow for store renovations.
The renovations taking place will include implementing new electric heating.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “Our Whitehaven Superstore is having a new electric heating system installed which will improve the heating and ventilation for our customers and colleagues as well as reduce the store’s carbon emissions.
"The store will close at 10pm instead of 12pm from Monday to Thursday while the installation work is carried out. Our trading hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will remain unchanged."
The work to be store are expected to be completed near to the end of August, and until they are completed, the Tesco store's trading hours will operate as below:
- Monday: 6am - 10pm
- Tuesday: 6am - 10pm
- Wednesday: 6am - 10pm
- Thursday: 6am - 10pm
- Friday: 6am - 12pm
- Saturday: 6am - 12pm
- Sunday: 10am - 4pm
