RESIDENTS of a West Cumbrian town have been asked to 'be cautious' in a park, after a tree fell down during bad weather.

Workington Town Council issued the warning following storms yesterday evening, June 27, which saw a tree blown down in Vulcan Park and on Vulcan's Lane in the town.

The Estates Team and a contractor are currently working to make the area safe for the public.

A spokesman for the town council said: "Please be cautious when in Vulcan Park and on Vulcan's Lane. A tree has come down following the storms last night.

"Our Estates Team are on site and a contractor is currently removing the tree to make it safe.
