Workington Reds have saluted their "amazing" fans who have boosted new boss Mark Fell's transfer kitty to the tune of £20,000.
The Borough Park club have described their latest 'budget booster' as a big success ahead of the new Northern Premier League Premier Division season.
The total currently stands at £20,696, with Reds' Independent Supporters' Club having themselves raised more than £6,000.
Workington's vice chairman Richard Lewthwaite said: "Although we hadn't published it, we'd always said a target of 20k would go above and beyond our expectations.
"As always our amazing fans have delivered the goods and we surpassed that figure with five days to go...
"Every penny goes towards helping Mark deliver those players that make the difference."
The new Reds manager, whose squad returned for pre-season training last weekend, will be inviting everyone who has donated to an exclusive Q&A session with food and drink.
Everyone who has donated will also be entered into a prize draw to win a golf day with the Reds staff.
