A CLOSURE notice has been served on a property in Penrith following a period of 'prolonged and extensive Anti-social behaviour'.

Eden police have said today, July 1 that they have served a closure notice on a property on Eden Mount, Penrith for the next 48 hours, meaning only the tenant can remain on the property, with anyone else entering the property liable to arrest and prosecution. 

Officers are now seeking a closure notice from Magistrates Court, which is approved will see the complete closure of the property for up to three months.

In a statement on social media, Eden police said: "Following prolonged and extensive Anti-Social Behaviour, officers from Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team have today served a Closure Notice on a property on Eden Mount, Penrith.

"This means that for the next 48 hours, only the tenant can remain on the property. Anybody else entering the property will be liable to arrest and prosecution.

"Officers are now seeking a full Closure Order on the property at Magistrates Court, which if approved, will see a complete closure on the property for up to 3 months."
