One member of the audience at the event said: "I can’t believe how confident these youngsters are and they obviously love it too."

Miss Maclachlan, music teacher from William Howard School commented on the student's performance at the Carlisle venue, highlighting the rigorous practice that the pupils put in before the event.

Some students didn’t even play an instrument at the start of September, so to stand up in front of a live audience like this and perform with such commitment is a fantastic achievement."

This performance will be followed at William Howard School by the school's annual summer concert on Tuesday, July 16, and Wednesday, July 17.
