STUDENTS and staff at St Bees School have completed a charity cycling challenge. 

A group from the secondary school cycled 35 miles from Silloth to St Bees along the Hadrian Cycleway to raise money for Team Evie. 

The team took on the challenge on Saturday, June 29, which included 10 students and five members of staff.

In a post on social media, St Bees School wrote: "Congratulations to our amazing team of cyclists who completed their charity bike ride from Silloth to St Bees on Saturday.

"In total, the team cycled 35 miles and it was all in aid of Team Evie - our chosen school charity for this academic year.

"We are still taking donations for this fantastic achievement and will be able to share the grand total with you all soon."

Team Evie is the school's chosen charity for the 2023-24 academic year. They are a charity based in West Cumbria set up to help sick children and their families in memory of baby Evie who sadly passed away at just 6 months old following a very rare combination of illnesses.
