ST Bees School has announced a 'landmark partnership' with education leaders in China. 

The school welcomed a delegation of visitors from Beijing. 

During the visit, documents were signed, which the school says will initiate a collaboration that will bolster international education and create numerous opportunities for students and teachers alike.

Mr Andrew Keep, headmaster of St Bees School, said: “This partnership represents another significant milestone for St Bees School.

“It underscores our commitment to providing our students with a global perspective and enhancing their educational experiences through international collaboration.

“We are thrilled about the future possibilities this partnership will bring.”

The agreement highlights several key initiatives, including study abroad programmes and teacher and resource exchanges.

Mr Keep continued: “Partnering with these esteemed Chinese educational institutions aligns perfectly with our vision of cultivating a global community of learners.

“We are eager to embark on this journey and witness the positive impact it will have on our students and faculty.”

Mr Laurence Gribble, assistant head of St Bees School and deputy director of Full Circle Education, who played a role in formalising the partnership, added: “This agreement marks a new chapter in our commitment to international education.

“It will provide unparalleled opportunities for professional development for our teachers and rich, immersive experiences for our students. “We look forward to a fruitful collaboration.”
