A MAN in his 80s has died after going missing from a motorboat on Derwentwater.
Police were contacted at 10.30am yesterday (July, 1) following concerns for the man after a motorboat he had been sailing was found in the lake at Keswick with nobody inside.
A multi-agency search was carried out involving the Coastguard and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service.
The man was found in the water and taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
The man, from Newcastle, was later pronounced deceased.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police confirmed, "there are no suspicious circumstances at this time".
