Annan's Summer Festival will feature a range of events for all ages.
Organised by Annan The History Town Group, this is the fourth edition of the two-month festival.
The premier occasion, named 'Gathering of the Clans', will witness the meeting of eight clan chiefs.
There will also be an inauguration of a new clan chief, which occurs approximately once every hundred years.
Scottish tribal drum and pipe band, Clanadonia, will perform at the venue.
Other attractions include mini-Highland Games, Highland and Scottish Country Dancing and arts and crafts stalls.
The Gathering of the Clans will take place at The Everholm sports ground in Annan on Saturday, August 24.
Early bird tickets are available online for £5 for adults, with accompanied children admitted free.
Other events taking place during the two-month festival include exhibitions, a guided walking week and a 'FUNDay' involving a number of charities.
