WIGTON Motor Club will star in an episode of Channel 5’s new series 'Cumbria, the Lakes, and Coast'.
This will air on Channel 5 at 8pm on Wednesday, July 17.
A spokesperson said: "It is based on member Chris Spencer taking his car to the club’s Cumbria Classic and Motorsport Show at Dalemain Mansion, near Penrith.
"Chris endures some minor mechanical mishaps in the lead-up to the show but comes out a winner amongst the 800 cars there."
This year’s Cumbria Classic and Motorsport Show takes place on August 18.
Wigton Motor Club has over 1000 member mainly in the northern half of Cumbria. It is a Motor Sport UK affiliated Club and has been a twice winner of the MSUK’s prestigious Motor Club of the Year and this year also winner of the Practical Classics Car Club of the Year award.
As well as having a large classic car membership it promotes a full programme of sporting and touring events every year.
