Cumbria’s non-league clubs have learned their opponents as they start their FA Cup campaigns in 2024/25.
Carlisle City are on the road but Penrith and Kendal Town have home ties in the extra preliminary round next month.
Dan Kirkup’s City will travel to fellow Northern League Division One club Whickham in a bid to progress in the famous competition. The winners will be at home to Dunston in the preliminary round.
Darren Edmondson’s Penrith, meanwhile, will be at home to Pickering Town, who play in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division. A home tie against Crook Town or Marske United awaits the winners.
And Kendal will be on home soil against Guisborough Town, who – like the south Cumbrians – will be in Northern League Division One next term. Newcastle Benfield or Knaresborough Town will travel to the winners.
The extra preliminary round ties are due to be played on Saturday, August 3, and winners of the ties will receive £1,125 prize money, with losers getting £375.
In the FA Vase, meanwhile, Penrith go to Ilkley Town in the first round qualifying, with Kendal at Tow Law Town.
And the FA Youth Cup has handed Penrith a home tie against Whitby Town in the extra preliminary round, while Workington Reds are at home to Whickham.
